The Israel Security Agency (ISA), commonly known as Shin Bet or Shabak, is Israel's internal security and counterintelligence service. One of three principal agencies in Israel's intelligence community alongside Aman and Mossad, Shabak is responsible for countering terrorism, exposing espionage networks, protecting senior government officials, securing critical infrastructure, and safeguarding Israeli embassies overseas. Established in 1949, the agency operates under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister of Israel.
